The Holland Garden Club is committed to engaging with the Holland community through various initiatives! As the dedicated caretakers and decorators for the Christmas of the Cappon House historic home and gardens, we take pride in our role. Additionally, we assist with projects at Windmill Island Gardens, including enhancing the Children's Gardens, participating in Arbor Day tree donations, and organizing city ceremonies and Arbor Day activities. Our club collaborates with local schools and senior centers for gardening education and plant therapy, while also providing welcome planters and flowers for the Community Action House Food Club. We invite everyone to join us for our garden club tours and discover more about the offerings at the Holland garden center, as well as the exciting activities of Sutherlands Home and Garden Club.

Plan to attend the “Heritage in Bloom” historic gardens tour in Holland on July 11, 2026. This tour will showcase inspiring gardens designed by homeowners, running from 10am to 4pm in the Historic District of Holland. As part of the event, the Sutherlands Home and Garden Club will feature local artists at several locations. Tickets for the day of the tour can be purchased on July 11, 2026, from 10am to 4pm at the Cappon House, located at 228 W 9th St, Holland, MI, 49423. The Historic Cappon House serves as the tour hub, where tickets will include addresses, directions, and descriptions of the gardens involved in this beautiful Holland community garden event. Prior to July 11, 2026, tickets can be bought at the following locations: Jonkers Garden Center at 897 Lincoln Ave, Holland; Ace Hardware at 645 Douglas Ave, Holland; and the Holland Visitors Bureau at 78 E 8th Street, Holland. Tickets are priced at $20.00 for adults, and children under 12 can join for free.
